OLAcad is a powerful special software. Using it without knowledge of, for example, various operating principles quickly leads to irritation. A demo version for the usual 30 days makes it uneconomical to use in a real planning project. Due to the high functional density and versatile application possibilities, it is hardly possible to familiarize oneself with the software without expert support. It makes more sense to use the software in a real project after the training and thus get an insight into the many advantages.

Die Nutzung und Vorteile von
OLAcad in unserem Unternehmen

Bei der STRABAG Rail Fahrleitungen GmbH arbeiten wir seit 2020 mit der Software
„OLAcad“ der Firma SIGNON und sind bisher sehr zufrieden.

Das Erstellen von OLA-Lageplänen ist durch die implementierten Befehle problemlos
möglich und wird durch die Angaben in der Befehlszeile weiter vereinfacht. Ist der Lageplan fertig erstellt, lassen sich aus diesem schnell und effizient weitere Pläne, wie beispielsweise die Querprofile, Masttafeln oder Höhenpläne, über wenige Klicks ableiten. Je nach eigener Präferenz können die abgeleiteten Pläne entweder direkt verwendet oder nach Belieben angepasst werden.

Gibt es doch mal größere Probleme, ist der Support von SIGNON bemüht, diese zeitnah zu lösen. Nach unserer Erfahrung sind hier kurzfristige und zielgerichtete Rückmeldungen die Regel.

Wir benutzen in unserer Firma viele eigene Layer, Vorlagen und Blöcke. Diese lassen sich problemlos in OLAcad einbinden, ohne sie verändern zu müssen.

Durch die schrittweise Einführung von BIM im Bahnbau hat sich für uns ein neues
Aufgabenfeld ergeben: die Erstellung von BIM-Modellen. Da wir bis vor kurzem nur wenig Kontakt mit dem Thema BIM hatten, waren wir froh mit OLAcad eine Möglichkeit zur einfachen und schnellen Erstellung von BIM-Modellen zur Hand zu haben.

Bereits bestehende Lagepläne liegen bei uns bereits auf den richtigen Koordinaten im DBref System, sodass lediglich die Trassierungsdaten der Gleise eingelesen werden müssen. Über den „Gleis importieren“ Befehl ist dies schnell getan.

Die OLAcad-Objekte lassen sich mit nur einem Befehl dem entsprechenden Gleis zuordnen. Anschließend kann das gesamte Model ohne großen weiteren Aufwand als IFC-Datei ausgegeben werden. Die Software erspart uns damit den Aufwand, die Elemente einzeln zu modellieren.

Bei uns haben die bereits in den Eigenschaften der OLAcad-Objekte hinterlegten Attribute, wie beispielsweise die Mastnummer, das Mvk-Maß oder der Masttyp bei Masten oder auch die über die Trassierung zugeordnete Gleisnummer, bisher ausgereicht. Es besteht jedoch auch die Möglichkeit eigene Attribute zu ergänzen.

Eine der unserer Meinung nach hilfreichsten Funktionen von OLAcad ist die Möglichkeit, Trassierungen aus einfachen 3D-Polylinien zu erstellen. So konnten wir in einem Projekt, in welchem es für ein Gleis keine Trassierung gab, in wenigen Minuten händisch eine Trassierung nachmodellieren, anstatt umständlich über andere Software eine Trassierung zu erstellen.

Im Großen und Ganzen vereinfacht OLAcad unseren Aufwand in der Planung merklich,
sodass wir die Software aktuell nicht missen möchten. Weiterhin hoffen wir, bei der
Ausweitung der BIM-Thematik im Bahnbau, auf eine gute Zusammenarbeit mit der Firma SIGNON und der OLAcad-Software.
